Your baby is trying to tell you that they love you and are thankful for you being around. Heck yeah that's a good sign. When my son is excited he looks like he's running a marathon on his back.

Joey likes to flail his arms and kick, he gains momentum unil he lets out a happy yell. I would say this is great, they are exercising the only way they know how and working those muscles up for crawling.

That's SOOOOO normal, although I would wonder at times also!LOL!
They are growing and the stronger they get, the better their co-ordination will get, you'll see!
Nathan holds onto things, but I'm not sure he grasps the concept that HE is actually holding it!!?? It's funny and cute, and these moments go fast! Enjoy your little one!

Yep, it's normal. I say that Alanna is doing "babycises" and sometimes it looks like she's riding a bike.

Babies of this age do not have the muscle coordination to move their arms and legs in specific ways. It is somewhat similar to trying to move your arms or legs while they are asleep - you can get them going but don't have control.

Normal, cute and will soon fad to directed movements so be sure to take some video.

I would say its absolutely ok! Riley is 4.5 months, and when he gets really excited, he flails arms & legs and sqeals!! It's the cutest thing ever!! I think for me, its just an indication he'll be a busy 2 year old!
