I dont know about swollen nipples but I do have a baby nipple question. Are all babies nipples inverted?

I was also worried about this but I took my daughter to a pedi.that told me as long as they are not growing hair in the pubic area that I shouldn't worry that it will go away eventually my daughter is now 14 months and is happy as can be..

Oh good. I am glad I am not the only one who was seeing this and became worried. My son's looks like theres a hard marble underneath the skin. I was starting to worry that maybe there was something wrong with him because my previous child's never did that.

Yes...it is normal. Nine months of the lovely estrogen building up in the little one's system will cause the swollen nipples in both the little girls and boys. It is also responsible for a slew of other things like acne, if I've been informed correctly...Just keep up the communication with your doc...good luck

Man that is weird...witches milk eh?

Katherine had swollen nipples as well but they are fine now. We worried about it too though before we talked to the pediatrician--thought our daughter was going to look a little different.....

take care,
siobhan

hi, my baby is 2 weeks old now, and just today he has developed swollen, hard nipples.
is this normal this far after birth?
