My son had what I affectionately refer to as "thumper foot" even when he was in my womb! When he was born they ran several tests because he seemed unusually jumpy and they thought it may be a deficiency of some kind. All tests came back normal and the shaking is less severe and less frequent but it still happens once every day or two and he's 2 months old now! As long as it's not a problem according to his pediatrician I think it's cute!

Katelyn used to do it, and she grew out of it. Don't worry! Congratulations!

My girl does the same exact thing. I also wondered what that was, if it was a problem or what. I'm glad you put this post up. But it's really weird yet so cute. I swaddle her before sleep otherwise her hands wake. so after hrs of her legs and arms being in one position, when i 'unwrap' her, she stretches and shakes.

Is this your first? With my first I would wake him up to make sure he was breathing. LOL. My husband would freak, it would take us an hour to get him down and there was I , checking on him and waking him up 20 minutes later. They are so noisy when they sleep in the beginning, all the little shudders and snuffles.

I miss it. :(

They have what is called sensory overflow. Their teeny tiny little nervous systems are not yet used to functioning in the outside world with its constant stimulation.
Mine used to make these little sounds like a puppy in his sleep, as if he was in pain. I wouldn't worry
