I just tested my link and it worked so it doesn't seem to be a problem on the site. Perhaps restart your computer and then try clicking the REFER NOW link again, entered the e-mail address and any comment and then the send e-mail button.

You can also just give your username to your friend and if she enters it when she joins, you will get referral babypoints as well.
