Food Search list kinda sucks

I agree that the food database is terribly awkward. I spent a good part of an afternoon finding my way through it and around it. I think part of the issue is that it's really not very intuitive and where you think you'd find things you just don't. Also, it doesn't seem to allow for searching with special characters. Let's say I'd like to search for M&Ms. I can't because of the & symbol. So then I need to do some kind of work around like searching for chocolate or chocolate candy.

What I've found easiest is to make my own food groupings for meals/snacks I tend to eat. I use the food labels on my products and create its own listing. The whole thing can use a lot of improvement in my eyes and my DH has certainly seen some things that are just kind of backwards.

Play around with it, you can delete anything you add quite easily so it's not a big deal. Once you get it working the nutrition tracker is pretty handy- I'm using it to help with my gestational diabetes diet.

We do refresh our food tracking database from time to time. If there is something that you eat frequently we suggest you add it to the Food Tracker.

I can't find anything with that thing. Anyway to increase the datebase? Calorieking.com has a pretty great list of foods
