The only issue with using the toning tables during pregnancy is the bakc-lying position. You should avoid lying flat on your back for prolonged periods after the first trimester, as the weight of the baby can reduce blood flow back to your heart and lungs and make you dizzy. If you can prop yourself up at least 40 degrees from the hip you'll avoid that issue. Cathy

I am very aware that I cannot only do these to lose weight. I am also a memeber of Sparkpeople and have been for sometime. I am not only doing the tables. I am also doing a bike. They are good at stretching my muscles and I do feel them work my muscles in certain areas. And its for a trial period right now. Different things work for different people I guess. I mainly wanted to know if these are safe while TTC and during pregnancy. I will call my doctor and see what he thinks.

Do you mean those tables people lay on while the table does certain movements?? If so, that's not exercise and doesn't do anything for your cardiovascular health or muscular strength. You'd be much better off walking, swimming or doing exercise DVDs both for your health and your baby's. Cardio exercise results in so many benefits during pregnancy, so I hope you can fit some exercise into your daily routine! Cathy

I am currently TTC and in the process losing some weight. My MIL, SIL and I went to use toning tables last night. Just wondering if anyone has used these with results and are they safe once I get pregnant?
