I LOVE almond milk. There's a new brand I just saw in the store you might be interested in, it's called Almond+Plus. It's got 5g protein. I'm making that switch to that one.

As Becky said, since she's the expert, make sure you get the nutritional needs that almond milk is lacking from another source. Thta being said, I drank almond milk through my last two pregnancies (it's the only kind of milk I have had in the past five years) and had two very healthy babies! now, still drinking it everyday with my third. I do eat other dairy products, though, such as cheese and ice cream.

Almond milk is safe to drink during pregnancy, but this is what you will want to follow: 1. 1 cup of regular milk has 8 grams of protein, almond milk only has 1 gram. So be sure you are using other protein rich foods to meet your protein needs---and not relying on almond milk.
2. Milk is usually a key food in helping people meet their calcium and vitamin D needs. So if using almond milk, make sure yours is fortified (a 1 cup portion) with about 30% of your calcium needs and 25% of your vitamin D needs.
