Babyfit calculates your needs based on weight maintenance at your pre-pregnancy weight and then adds 300 calories for pregnancy. There is an activity factor as part of the calculation. Your rate of weight gain will let you know if you need more calories or not. If you are gaining at a slow and steady rate with your recommended calorie range then what you are eating matches your needs. If you are gaining too quickly, you might need to drop back by a 100 calories or so and if you are gaining too slowly, you might need to bump it up slightly. You and your medical provider can work together and use your nutrition tracker information as a guide.

As parents you establish the teaching, training and expectations for your child in the first 7 years of their life. After that you live out what you set up.

I am wondering if the calorie intake guidelines that are set, take into account exercise. Easy translation, since my calories are set at approx 2000-2200 per day, if I go to the gym and burn approximately 500 calories, would I then want to take in an additional 500 (give or take) calories to not fall below my recommended intake? Or is the 2000-2200 already assuming that you are working out and so the adjustment is built in?

Thank you!
