Definite answer on bottled Blue Cheese Dressing

Yes, this type of shelf-stable bottled salad dressing is safe....the bottling process kills the listeria, if present.

I've been looking around all morning for a definitive answer on this question- is store bought blue cheese dressing that you don't have to refrigerate until after opening, safe to eat while pregnant.

We have some Ken's Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing and the ingredients do not say whether the milk used for the blue cheese is pasteurized or not... it only states that milk was used.

I was under the impression that all shelf stable items were safe to eat since they were heated during the bottling process.

Can you please let me know.
