Yes it is ok. It is made from pasturized milk. It is confirmed in the FAQ section of the Laughing Cow website: http://www.thelaughingcow.co.uk/.

In the nutrition resource center there is a listing of the dangerous types of cheeses. And remember, any cheese can be made safe to eat by microwaving it until bubbly hot.

As far as I know, cheese is OK as long as it's pasteurized so check the box for the magic 'p' word! :-)

I'm not all that fond of milk, so I get a lot of calcium from Total cereal and from Tropicana orange juice that's fortified with calcium and vitamin D.

Good luck!

Does anyone know if The Laughing Cow Mini Babybel Light cheese is safe during pregnancy? It's the kind that comes in circle shape, a soft spreadable cheese. Just looking for ways to get more calcium and it looks appealing to me during my m/s time too!
