Don't be so hard on yourself! The main thing is to get in the stuff that you need (prenatal vitamins, plenty of calcium). The extra junk food and snacks won't do baby any harm -- only make it a little harder to get your waist line back later. :) lol

With my first I ate really well and worked out and my now 3 yr old is perfect. With my second I ate like crap and he's now 20 months and he is amazing...he actually talks more and is developmentally faster than his older brother was at the same age. Each child is different and I'm glad you're trying to eat better now but don't stress out about the past.
The big difference was with the first I only gained 27 lbs and the second 50!.....:(

this is my 3rd pregnancy. I have eaten very different with every pregnancy & have had 2 perfect babies/children. Neither were colicy, neither got sick much. Both are extremely smart. I think it has less to do with how I ate while pregnant and more to do with parenting. If you're stressed your baby is probably going to be stressed as well.

I definitely wouldn't worry about what you're eating having that drastic of an effect on your baby. I tried to eat healthy for the most part with both of mine, avoided the things that were absolute no-nos, but plenty of junk crept in there too (I'm a bit of a stress eater). There were days - probably even weeks - when my diet was totally out of balance, but now I have a happy, healthy, bright toddler. Do the best you can, but some extra candy or soda here or there won't be the end of the world.

There are so many things that make you feel guilty as a mom... With my first pregnancy with my son I ate amazingly well- no diet soda, minimal coffee, all greens, and fruits everything healthy. With this 2nd pregnancy with our 2nd son I am more stress and eating like, well crap. I have been trying to do the same stuff and eat better now but its so hard. My first son is now 2, super smart and healthy so far and I attribute it to how well I ate and exercised. Can I luck out with #2 although I havent done all the same stuff. I just dont want a colicy baby!? Im sure Im worrying for nothing but any: Advice? Support? Things your feeling guilty about?
