I had the cramping and some spotting to but the doctor told me that would probably happen. From what I remember it lasted a day or two. If it gets worse I would call your doctor.

With my first pregnancy, I had to go in for an internal exam and several other tests followed. However, I noticed I began cramping etc for the remainder of the day. I stayed at the docs office for one test and had to go to the hosp after for two more test he couldn't do in the office. I went home for two hours and came back because I determined they were more like contractions coming every one minute to five minutes. I still hadn't dilated at all and still remained effaced just 50% but I was going into four days past 40 weeks so they kept me and I had a csection.

I would keep in close contact with your doctor and/or a hospital to be safe. Good luck with your delivery!

The last few months were pretty uncomfortable whenever they'd do an internal exam. The last time I had one though felt like the other's afterwards, but within 12 hours came discharge and a few hours after that came baby...but you're 36 weeks and I was nearly FORTY-TWO...so who knows.

Hello,

It is normal to see some discharge and cramping after an exam, but you maybe lossing your mucus plug. Contact your medical provider if the cramping get worse.

Keep us posted. We hope for a safe delivery soon.

I am 36 weeks preggo and yesterday was the first time they checked to see if I am starting to dialate. the actual exam didn't hurt but afterwards I felt very sick to my stomach and crampy. Today I woke up and I feel even more cramped up and i have a lot of extra discharge. is this all normal?
