As Frederica Mathewes-Green has written, no one wants an abortion like she wants a Porsche or an icecream; rather, she wants it like an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg.

To parapharse Archbishop Fulton Sheen, few hate the Catholic Church for what she teaches, but millions hate it for what they think she teaches.

There are still days that she does not move as much as others. Or maybe it is that I am not paying too much attention to them now. I know on Monday after a lot of sleep she was all over the place.

Today I am a bit tired and she is less active.

Thanks for the replies. I had my doctor appointment a few days ago and she assured me that it is nothing to worry about at this point. Likely the baby moved positions and/or was going through a growth spurt. She said they don't get concerned about movement until about 28-30 weeks.
Nonetheless, it was still great to hear a strong heartbeat!

For me, I've noticed these spurts occuring regularly at the end of each week for about the past month or so. I'm 37 weeks and 1 day now. I know these spurts have occurred before, but I have not really kept track of them. You could try drinking a glass of juice or cold water and then lying on your left side. This usually makes my LO move around when I'm worried about lack of movement.

Just remember to drink plenty of water while taking any cold/flu medication. At 34 weeks I was taking cold medicine and wasn't drinking enough water. I ended up going into preterm labor that had to be stopped with medication.

I noticed this too at one point and thought that there was something wrong and called the doctor's office. They told me that this is normal baby activity and not to worry.

So, there is nothing to worry about with this baby is fine and what you are experience is normal (per my doctor's office). However, if you are truly worried, call your doctor's office to speak to them about your concerns.

I am not sure what to tell you. Try drinking a glass of orange juice or apple juice. Sometime the little extra sugar kick will get your little one moving. If you are still worried I would call and let your DR know! I am sure everything is fine. I remember with my first child that some days she was more active than others. He or she may be having a sleepy day!

I've noticed a decrease in movement for 2-3 days when the baby is going through a growth spurt. I usually eat a ton the day before the decrease. After 2-3 days he gets back to rolling and tumbling and then my stomach is very itchy and sore because it is stretching. This was my experience for both of my pregnancies. Maybe this is what is happening for you as well.

Hi there,
I've been feeling the baby kick for about 3 weeks now, and more regularly the last week. However, for the last 3 days I have hardly felt anything. I know I'm still early in my pregnancy, but I read that a decrease in movement at anytime can be cause for concern. Has anyone else experienced this? I have my regular doctor appointment in 2 days, but need some peace of mind in the meantime.

Thanks to all who reply!
