ROTFL! Thanks for the giggle.

They can pass meconium (poop) inutero so why wouldn't they be able to fart?!

Don't know about farting but I know that there are different noises that one can hear. With my first I kept hearing clicks and squeaks. My doctor just said that the baby moves against lots of things...organs, etc. so things like that could account for strange sounds that come from the belly. :)

Hmmm, I wonder, LOL!!! I was reading a post yesterday about a British study that says a reason for SIDS could be parents farting too much around the baby... does that mean he is a danger to himself?! LOL!

I don't think there's farting in the womb, they save it for after that first meal... and then they don't stop

They "hiccup" fluid- not air- so the hiccuping isn't exactly the same.

I have never thought about that! If they can hiccup why wouldn't the baby be able to fart?

That is so funny, cause yesterday and today I heard some weird noises in there. I thought to myself could my baby be farting? It sounded different than my stomach growling.

LMAO!!!! They do ingest amniotic fluid at some point. What goes in must come out, and if it doesn't... GAS! LOL. That's too funny.

I would imagine they could but I dont get how air could get in there for them to fart, but I also dont understand how they get hiccups either.
