It depends on the level of pain that I think Alexys is in. If it is really bad I give her two at a time every hour until she feels relief, which only takes about 90 minutes and she is usually alseep. Generally though, if it's not that bad I give her three when needed which may be once or twice a day. Hope that helps with the teething tablets.

nooo this pacifier was much more strange something like a mouth piece football players use but on a pacifier
We have a teethingpacifier called a razberi & Lily loves it! I think its by Nuby but not positive. It is easy for them to use too.
Yeah, lily holds a lot of stuff & tries to drink out of my glass a lot of the time. i just bot some nuby sippy cups & she seems to like it a lot. It has a real soft silicone top so she enjoys chewing on it.
Yeah, sometimes that squeal draws attention to you!!!

I hear good things about the teething tablets too, my sister swears by them. Lilyana is at the stage where she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth too. I really need to babyproof because she just rolls through the house now.
Has anyone else baby figured out the high pitch squeal that makes your ears ring? I think Lily just does it because she can.
What sippy cups are you using? We have a sippy cup top that goes on the avent bottles & a handle thingy too.
Also, has anyone else's baby been holding their bottles? Lily isnt very good at keeping it in her mouth but she is doing better then I thought...it's like all the sudden she is try to hold it & take it out & put it back in.

we got the tablets today (dave found them at rite aide). do you give alexys 2 or 3 at a time?

Katie- Alexys went through that about two weeks ago. Everything was mommy feed her mommy feed her. Well, she went back to daycare and didn't have a choice. It was eat or starve, and babies will always pick eat. Good luck with the dropping her off at daycare. The nubby bottle nipples I believe are at Target by the way.

that sounds interesting... if we could even get the nipple in her mouth long enough for her to notice. lol. i adore that she's so into nursing at the moment, but its just not a practical thing when it comes to her going to daycare tomorrow. this should be "fun".

jordan chews on EVERYTHING, even her socks. she tried to chew on roy's fur yesterday. i think her bottle refusal is partly due to teething, the nipple must not feel good to her.

signs of teething would be lots of drooling and chewing on anything they can get there hands on and becca likes to bite down on the nipple of her bottle (or any thing elser eally) and then pull it out of her mouth so it rubbs her gums
the cord socks sound like cute idea but if your trying to hide the cords fromm jj i would'nt use colors i would use a color as close to the color of the wall as possable so they dont draw his eye to them

If you're crafty...make cord socks that button or velcro shut all along one side. Use a thermal isolation material on one side and a cute color or print on the other.
Just an idea :)

i think we are pretty good on teething i havent had to use much orajel we just finished watching the negotiater well i caught about the last 1 hr maybe me and lil charlie went take a bath charlie took lil charlie to go see his nanny down the street but i assume when they come back its gonna be boob time b/c he likes his boob after bath and its bedtime

Lexy does that also while teething. I'm not kidding though the teething tablets are a miracle. They are called Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets, and they are a godsend. If you happen to try them I hope they help. They work miracles for Alexys and I credit them for every screaming fit we have not had over teething.

I feel like I got pretty lucky. The teething beast isn't that bad around here. I give her some teething tablets and she is fine. No teeth yet, but I figure all the lead-up to it isn't that bad, maybe she isn't full blown teething yet. I'm going to the bar tonight!

I kind of understand. Phil wasn't working this afternoon and made them take 1 hour naps at like 4h30 before he went to work...well they usually go ot for the night at 6h30..so a Duh...guess who's still awake at 8h30 and fussy.
