I LOVE massages!!! Totally helps with all the aches and pains.. EXCEPT the fact you will not be able to go with only 1... You WILL WANT MORE!!! Some places have a bed special for preggos (with a hole cut out in it) and other people flip you from side to side.
There are places "good" massage people know not to massage you... Hands, legs (some - must be LIGHT - we can get blood clots easy) and feet... there are stimulants in hands and feet that can jumpstart labor!
My fav part is the back and neck.. I broke my neck 12 years ago, so I have lots of tension anyway (plus having G size boobs before preg). It helps me a lot. Plus relaxing is always good. :-)

So at the prenatal massage do they have a "special" table for pregnant women? I have a spa gift certificate from my husband for last years valentines day that I still haven't used. I know they do prenatal massages. Do you recommend it?

this will be my second one... I have a pinched nerve in my neck/back that is making my left arm hurt like a *!(!*!(!* if ya know what I mean. It's way worse than my sciatic nerve! The docs had me on pain meds (yuck) so I"m trying this out..
I'm a WUSS when it comes to scary movies... SERIOUSLY!!!

Nope I'm still up...I'm in Washington too. I just finished watching the omen, and I'm afraid I'm gonna have nightmares now. I usually love scary movies but quite frankly not the movie for a pregnant lady!
Lucky you, I wish I was having a prenatal massage. You'll have to let me know how it went!

I'm too broke to shop on ebay too, tear. I would go to sleep, but then I'd wake up at 5am for good!..not just to pee. I rely I trying to sleep in to waste some of the day, since Matt works from 8am to 9pm.

How come yours tells you in days? Mine has a date in the box that says "Introduced yourself" but no number of days?? Unless the number next to the pink word TODAY is the number of days?? That number is 333 for me and I think that's way wrong! I think my babypoints page is retarded! No fair!

148 days.. so umm.. I have no idea what that makes it.. But I'm pretty sure it was around June 15th, b/c that was the day I found out, and I was in France, so I needed the web to tell me what the heck I needed to start doing differently, and This was one of the first sites I found!

I gotta tell yall- two of my sixth grade boys have now decided that they are ALSO "pregnant". They walk down the hall sticking out their stomacks, with one hand behind their arched back and the other rubbing their belly. One even put his sweater under his shirt and went into "labor" yesterday. It was too funny!
BETH MARIES! BETH MARIES! BETH MARIES!!!! Oh... Sweetwater's fried portabella mushrooms followed by Beth Maries! That's even BETTER!!

Boo- I noticed too by the way...I was just about to comment on it. And about the smoking thing - ahh I wish I could have one too. Luckily I haven't been around anyone who smokes since I left school but I'm sure I'd be struggling a lot more if I was still there. We'll see what happens when I go and visit in two weeks. This "no smoking/drinking" thing is really getting to me LOL...but i'll try to be strong!

Yes, clearly I do not have a life either! It's 8:02pm here in Chicago and I am sitting at home on a Friday night watching tv alone with my dogs! My mom is out at our cousin's wedding reception which I didn't feel like going to/trying to find something to fit in and being uncomfortable ALL night. So I'm sitting in my bath robe watching degrassi (a show I'm sure none of you know about LOL cuz its even too young for me haha). I guess I'll go take a bath soon to waste time then warm up some left overs for dinner.
Tomorrow I'll be going to my cousin's baby shower. They're having a girl as well and she's due 6 days before my daughter! Right after the baby shower I'll be headed to New York to live with my father and his family for next semester so I can take some classes at UCONN before I go back to DUKE in the summer...this should be interesting!
So yeah...add me to the "no life" list!

It's 8:58 pm on Friday night...I also have no life. I'm listening to the end of Ghost Wisperer (or whatever that show is called)from the other room. My DF is downstairs in the basement working on building it in so we have somewhere to live when the baby comes! (we live my parents for the time being) I believe Close to Home is coming on now. I have done pretty much nothing all day....so so so bored! Boo...for the record, I noticed right away that you changed your name. I saw Jaxonsmummy and thought isn't that what Boo is naming her LO and when I saw the pic I said it is Boo. Have fun at your moms tonight and if you must....enjoy your smoke.

Prego teacher: I got pulled off the ambulance at 20 weeks, now I tell them all where to go :)
Okay, um, the last call I ran in the field:
"respond to xxx for ankle pain"
So I show up on scene, walk out of the rig, and there is this homley she-male sitting on the curb (did I mention I work in the greater San Fran area?). She was loitering (it's like 3am) and when the cops told her to beat it she whined that her ankle hurt (if you have a med condition, cops have to call an ambulance, which equals a free meal and warm bed). So I point to the door of the ambulance and have her get her own butt in (she walked just fine BTW). During the ride, I had to go through the dog and pony show with interview/vital signs, etc; all is well until she puts her arm on my leg. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I politely pick it up with my gloved hand and place it back on her (I don't know where that's been!). She does it again, and this time starts stroking my leg, while asking me if I am interested in her. Ugh. Long story short, it took 10 min to get to the hospital during which time, she told me how beautiful I was and she would be so great to me, then randomly kick into a tourettes spell and tell me I'm a f***ing B*** that I need to pull over and let her out, then she'd go back to trying to stroke my leg. WTH?
Some people... Damn the laws that keep us from b*** slapping out of line patients!

Ahh.. what I wouldn't give for a smoke! ..tee hee..It really hasn't bugged me not being able to, but this last week I've really wanted one.. don't know why.
well I'm on too ladies! Yes, no life here. It's Friday and Matt won't be home until almost 10. It's 6:53 right now.. Ugg! 3 more hrs! I wait on him to eat dinner most of the time, but I'm soo hungry right now! So I heated up a hot dog. Not so great, but it helped. While I'm on the subject of hot dogs.. I know we're allowed to eat hot dogs if they are heated until "steaming". But who eats hot dogs w/o cooking them anyway??? Do people really eat hot dogs right out of the package??
Ahh dang it.. glad you said that MB, I forgot to write that..about days active..ug, case of the preggo brain!

It's about 5:50p, I have 2 ambulances out on calls, and the other 2 are sitting on their butts at posts throughout the county (have I mentioned that I am totally ashamed of myself for playing online during work?). I am having spaghetti o's for dinner, because it's Friday and I ran out of food (couldn't justify going to the store for one shift's meal). I'm watching King of Queens out of the corner of my eye. Completely bored, reading all of your wonderful posts.

If you want to smoke and hurt your baby- it's none of my business... hahaha. (Was that a guilt trip enough for you?)
My friend smoked one about every two weeks or so with hers. We all have our vices.
Oh- and for the record... I'm not "nosey" I'm "inquisitive"!! Inquiring minds want to KNOW!

I'm on. First time in forever. (like a couple weeks.) Been so busy and tired trying to work full time and hubby gone in SD for a month. He's getting back Monday and I am soooo happy. He really does so much around here and I am worn out from trying to do it all. Plus I REALLY NEED SOME ACTION AND I AM NOT KIDDING. LIKE NOW!
Still fri night here and Tonight I made quesadillas out of leftover cheese and pork. I have to say they were outstanding and the kids devoured them instantly. I only got one and I almost threw a tantrum but caught myself just in time. : ) Had a tangerine instead. Now I have been on here 'catching up"- like I could... and letting the kids run mad and ruin my house. sigh. I will make them clean it tomorrow.

Obviously, I don't have much of a life because it's 7:23 on a Friday night. DH is in the living room watching wrestling (who watches wrestling anyhow? I thought men grew out of that when they were fourteen) and I don't feel like doing anything productive.
Today was the last day of school-- well, for Thanksgiving anyhow. I have all next week off- and I don't even have to travel! (Boo, Thanksgiving is that silly Ami holiday- you know pilgrims, indians, etc. tee hee- I'm teasing you)
We went to QT to get fountain drinks and then to Chipotle. I'm out of points for the day, but still snacky- so I got some chips... I think I'm going to pretend like I didn't eat them, though. I feel like eating a huge cake tonight... not sure why.
My back hurts sitting at the computer, and I debated getting off... but aren't you glad I'm here to keep you company and ramble about absolutely NOTHING?!?!?!?!
