Thanks, that is an awesome birth story, it made me have a little laugh.

Ok We are well into having our fifth baby right now but I was telling my dd' her story and got a good chuckle so I thought I'd share it here.
My water broke at 1am but it was just trickling and I couldn't tell if I had peed the bed. well after assuring myself I hadn't peed on myself I folded up a few towels to sit on and spent the next few hours on the couch playing Millipede. Yup Actually I highly recommend it.It was distracting enough so that I didn't worry and doesn't really require much brain power. Ha HA
At about 8 am I wasn't hurting enough to go to the hospital (in my opinion) but the dr said he wanted us to come in anyways cause he didn't want me walking around with a leaky bag. So I made my husband take the long way and we stopped at Denny's for breakfast cause I was afraid if I had a long labor I wouldn't get to eat anything. We must have made quite a sight and never had I recieved such quick service!!!!
We made it to the hospital by 10 am and when the resident dr checked I was at 8 cm. I thought peice of cake. Unfortunately maybe it was the hospital setting or laying down but it started to HURT!!! By the time I reached 10 I was in agony. Well the nice nurse tells me it's time to push. So I gave it a try. YEAH RIGHT It HURT MORE. SO I did the most logical thing I could think of I crosed my legs!! At that point it took 3 nurses plus my hubby to pry my legs apart and one of them actually told me I should have crossed them 9 months ago not now!! ONce I decided to really push I must admit it felt really good and only took about 4 pushes to get my 6 lb 12ounce baby girl out. Delivering the placenta was a hoot as it tickled all the way out(wierd I know) I also got the chills so badly the entire bed was shaking and i looked like a sequel to the Exorcist movie. It was a memorable experience to say the least and the nurses still remembered me when I went in to have my second 2 years later(i didn't cross my legs that time :)
