Oooh, congratulations on your sons and this pregnancy. I hope that the tests come back with something that they can treat you for and I'm sorry that you have this to worry about. It must have been so scary for you. I've got all my fingers crossed that we won't be reading your birth story until the end of June!

My sons were both born prematurely due to placental abruptions. Ethan at 28wk 3day, and Jake at 32 weeks. With Ethan I had had a lot of problems throughout my pregnancy and when I started bleeding heavily I went in to the hospital. I thought the pains I was having on the way down were due to 45 minutes of bumpy roads. When I got there they told me I was having contractions, but wasn't dilated at all. So they gave me a drug to stop the contractions, which worked for about 3 hours, then they started up again. When I started dilating 12 hours later and baby started to go into distress they transferred me to a different hospital with a great NICU.
With Jacob, I started bleeding and cramping and drove myself to the nearest hospital while DH stayed home with ethan. I was losing quite a bit of blood and was dilated to 3 so the doc sent me straight to St. Mary's again where I had him 7 hours later.
At 18 weeks now and I'm considered high risk. Was carrying twins but one of them passed at 9 weeks. My perinatologist has scheduled blood tests to see if there's a medical reason for the previous abruptions in hopes of preventing another one. I should be getting the results back soon and am nervous/excited at the same time.
My LO is very active and hopefully we'll be able to determine gender at my ultrasound next week! Hoping for a happy healthy full term little boy.
Well, that's my story. Hoping to post another birth story after June 26th and not a day sooner!
