30 hours before they decided to have an emergency C-section. I was induced and there were no sign of progression. Then later found out that my little girl who was 6lbs and 6 oz. was too big to fit through my pelvis...

I'm not completely sure. I never felt bad until the VERY end...just kind of off. I was having what I thought was braxton hicks all day but they never got consistent or more uncomfortable. Finally after all day of what I thought was braxton hicks my stomach muscles were aching. My water broke (as in I heard a huge pop that hurt followed by water gushing all over the bed) at about 8:35 PM. We got the hospital at about 9:25 and I was 6 cm. Twenty minutes I had just finished paper work, they had just got me on the monitor and were attempting to start an iv when I said I had to push. They checked me at 9:50 and I was 10 cm. Hubby wasn't in the room yet he was still doing paper work. They got him in the room and Cole was born at 10 PM exactly.

about 3 hours. I woke up in the morning feeling 'off' but contractions didn't get consistent and close together until around 11am. We got to the hospital at 11:20am, I was at 10cm by 2:20pm and pushed for 20 min. Sophia was born at 2:40pm on my due date.
and they say 2nd births are faster - oh wow.
PS - my water never broke until I was actually delivering. they never offered to break it for me and I never thought to ask. didn't seem to be an issue.

From my first mild contraction it was 21 hours 40 mins, although it wasn't really properly uncomfortable until I had about 6 hours to go (I had no pain meds). The doctor wanted to speed things up but we said no (no desire to go down the whole intervention route and there was no reason other than he had been on call since really early that morning!). I pushed for 1 hour 10 mins and out came LO!
PS - Great birthday BUTRFLY_NIRVANA!

My son was 12hrs of labour in jan 2004.My girl was born and on the way to the hospital i felt the urge to push.WE made it there at 8:15am and she was born at 8:44am so 29 mins later. No drugs for this one either which was nice but painful.I am done having babies now.
The breakdown: water breaking to contractions starting = 1 hour contractions to 10 cm = 6 hours 10 cm to pushing (labor down) = 1 hour pushing = 2-2.5 hours

I'm including early labor (once it was painful) to the birth...
Baby #1: Natural (no meds) 36 hours 3 hours of pushing
Baby #2: Almost natural! Ended up with epidural 13 hours 45 minutes of pushing
Baby #3: Natural (no meds) 28-29 hours 10-20 minutes of pushing
For me, it almost didn't matter how long the labor was. If the pushing stage was short, it made the whole thing seem much easier!

16 hours. I went in at 6 am. I was induced at 7 and had my angel at 9:52. I had a lot of family and friends there throughout the day, so the time went fast. When the contractions were getting painful, I got an epidural and all went well.

1st baby..an hour. I had no breathing classes or any other training other than instinct. The nurses were telling me not to push. WHATEVER!!! My body wanted to push so I did!
My water never broke and my contractions were really mild, almost like cramping..that is until right before my baby came. (BIG DIFFERENCE) No time for epi!

labor with my second daughter started at 2:36 am, we got to the birthing center at 4:05 am and she was in my arms by 6:24 am. No definite pushing phase. I did spontaneous pushing and have no idea how long it was. So all told it was 3 hr. 48 minutes

My labor started about 11:30PM Saturday, I went to the hospital about 3AM, they broke my water around noon on Sunday, and I started pushing around 1:30pm. DD#1 was born at 2:30pm. So I only had about an hour of pushing.

i went into labour at 12am and delivered at 6.50pm, so just under 19 hours, with 55 mins of pushing, i was lucky as after an hour of pushing they were planning a c section, i felt soooo lucky!! hoping for it to be quicker this time!

34 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours pushing
this is what you should do: love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning god, have patience and indulgence toward the people . . . re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss what insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem. -walt whitman

I noticed contractions at around 11:00AM the day before. I delivered at 9:41PM the next day so that puts me at just about 34 ~ 35 hours of labor? I only pushed for a half hour.

It was nice that it was so quick but I was extremely worried that we wouldn't make it to the hospital and I would be delivering in our vehicle.

I was in labor for 9 hours with my daughter. I pushed for 1 hour but don't remember most of it because I had an epidural. (I was young and afraid of the pain at the time). With my son, I had my first contraction at 12:30am and got to the hospital in time to push 3 times before he was born at 1:14am. So 44 minutes from start to finish and no time for any drugs (which was actually a good thing for me). It was way too fast, makes me wonder what this next one will be like.

It lasted 18 hours. I spent 1/2 hour or less pushing.

I was induced (due to pre-eclampsia)and in the hospital for 60 hrs. Started friday night at 8pm, they shut off the pictocin and stopped giving me maeso Monday morning at 6 am because in that entire time I had only dialated 1 cm! Ended in a c section at 759am. So technically 59hours and 59 minutes. Let me just tell you contractions for 60 hours suck!

My labor was 16 hours, from the start of my contractions to the time he was born. Although, my water broke many hours before that-it was 23 hours from the time my water broke to the time I delivered.
