I've been drinking diet rite myself, I love it. However, I did just try the Pepsi One and its good too. It says it sugar-free and very low sodium.

I will have to try Diet Rite and maybe make a trip to Walmart. It's really hard to go from drinking pop every day to quitting cold turkey. LOL

I use splenda with my coffee and tea. I was dieting before I got PG and Diet Coke with splenda was not bad!

Diet Rite is low sodium, and I think in most areas they are made with splenda. My OB stated that reactions to Splenda will be similar to table sugar, because it is actually made from sugar. Pepsi is also making fruit flavored sodas with splenda. (you can get them at Wal-Mart)

Yep, from Michigan. Funny thing is, I debated changing my initial message to pop/soda. LOL.

Hey, you must be from the midwest! It just reminds me of home when I hear someone say "pop." (I live in DC now but I'm from Pittsburgh.) Anyway, I've been craving cola lately since I haven't had it 5 weeks, and the caffeine free deal with splenda sounds like a great option!

Actually you couldn't have picked a better sugar substitute. There have been over 200 clinical tests done on Splenda in the last ten years and it is the only substitute to have never had a bad clinical test. It is also the only substitute in the history of the FDA to actually receive the FDA recommendation. Normally they just tell you what is wrong or what to avoid but with Splenda they actually recommend it to people especially diabetics. Soft drinks on the other hand have other reasons to limit them. They are loaded with sodium so it is usually recommended that you limit them to no more than 3 servings a day. I hope that helps. I have read so many research articles on Splenda I should be employed by them.
